Drug Free Schools & College Prevention Program

Austin 社区 College is dedicated to providing a safe, healthy environment for students, 员工, 和游客. This includes ensuring the college is a drug- and 酒精-free zone.

Students are encouraged to read and understand information about the college’s drug and 酒精 ab使用 prevention program (DAAPP) and its compliance with Drug-Free Schools and 校园 Regulations (34 CFR Part 86) and the Drug-free Schools and Communities Act.

Standards of conduct

The unlawful possession, 使用, 分布, 出售 or manufacture of controlled substances is prohibited on any premises owned or controlled by ACC. Under no circumstance will the college tolerate unlawful possession, 使用, 分布, 出售, or manufacture of controlled substances, or the unlawful 使用 of 酒精 on campus or at college-sponsored activities.

College disciplinary penalties

Students who violate these Standards of Conduct will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including expulsion, in accordance with college policy, Student Standards of Conduct and Disciplinary Process (Administrative Rule 1.04.006).

Penalties for conviction under state and federal law include incarceration and fines. Property 使用d in connection with illegal 药物 may be confiscated. Any student who has a drug- or 酒精-related problem may call upon the college for help. Each ACC campus has counselors who can help you address your drug and 酒精 使用, explore the reasons behind your 使用, assess whether your 使用 is problematic. Program oversight and review

In accordance with federal law, ACC notifies students annually about its drug and 酒精 ab使用 prevention program and related policies and reviews the program every two years. 

ACC’s vice chancellor of student services oversees ACC’s drug and 酒精 prevention program for students and coordinates review activities.
